The STINGER II™ portable CMM was designed for applications needing a low cost, portable measurement device for inspection or reverse engineering.

The STINGER II™ is available with a 1.8-, 2.4-, 3.0, 3.6 or 4.6-meter measuring envelope. This arm is ideal for inspection, measuring and reverse engineering applications in the metalworking, construction, fabrication, woodworking, plastics, welding and computer graphics industries.

The STINGER II™ can be provided with PowerINSPECT™ or PowerINSPECT Lite™, our first choices for inspection applications. PowerINSPECT™ is a Windows® program for inspection and reverse engineering. New expanded GD&T capability includes true position, perpendicularity, angularity, parallelism and concentricity. The software automatically generates fully customized Excel® reports.

Reports and Excel templates can be made as simple or complex as required and can be tailored to suit all customer or quality requirements.

• Intelligent quick-change probes can be changed on-the-fly without tools or re-calibration. The system automatically recognizes and compensates for the type of probe installed. This feature dramatically improves inspection productivity.
• Carbon fiber arms that are dimensionally stable regardless of temperature and have a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects.
• Up to 540 degrees rotation of the arm's principal axes with a unique "ball-track" soft-stop design that prevents arm damage common with conventional hard stops.
