Sept. 2006 - Wixom, MI, USA — CimCore proudly presents the STINGER IIi portable CMM, our latest offering for customers seeking powerful inspection and reverse-engineering solutions at an affordable price.
Based on the proven technology of the STINGER II, the STINGER IIi adds
the freedom of infinite rotation and functionality of a new, integrated
Zero-G™ Counterbalance system that significantly reduces operator
fatigue. Infinite rotation was previously only available on our
INFINITE series portable CMMs.
Other features include: intelligent quick-change probes changeable
on-the-fly without tools or the need to recalibrate; carbon fiber
composite arm tubes that are stronger than steel and dimensionally
stable regardless of temperature; an ultra-portable design weighing 3.6
to 5.4 kg; and NIST-traceable calibrated length standard for field
calibration.The STINGER IIi is available in 2.4-, 3.0- and 3.6-meter
configurations. Other lengths will follow in the future.
